Study Programmes

The Confucius Institute is keen to promote cultural and academic exchanges, and it offers a variety of scholarships for students to study and travel in China.

Chinese Bridge Summer Camp

Every year, the Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg organises a two-week Chinese Bridge Summer Camp hosted by its partner university, Fudan University.

Participants must:

  • be enrolled at an overseas educational institution;
  • have passed HSK level 2/YCT level 3 or above;
  • be non-Chinese citizens and non-native Chinese speakers;
  • be between the ages of 14 and 40;
  • be in good health and able to travel abroad;
  • not have participated in the programme within the past three years.

The Summer Camp will last for 14 days, including travel time. Activities will include Chinese language and cultural courses (60% of the time), and tourism and cultural exchange activities, such as conversation with Chinese students (40% of the time).

International travel expenses, insurance, and visa fees (if required) are self-paid. The expenses incurred during the visit in China will be covered by the organisers.

All eligible applicants will be required to attend an interview with the Confucius Institute team to be selected for the Summer Camp.

Confucius China Studies Program

In order to foster a deeper understanding of China and Chinese culture among young generations worldwide, encourage China studies, promote the sustainable development of Confucius Institute and enhance friendly relations between China and cititzens from other countries, the Confucius Institute Headquarters has set up the "Confucius China Studies Program"[CCSP].
