Summer Camp

The Confucius Institute is keen to promote cultural and academic exchanges, and it offers a variety of scholarships for students to study and travel in China.

Chinese Bridge Summer Camp

From 13 to 26 July 2026, the Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg organises a two-week Chinese Bridge Summer Camp hosted by its partner university, Fudan University.

Participants must:

  • be enrolled at an overseas educational institution;
  • have studied Chinese and passed the HSK/YCT exam ;
  • be non-Chinese citizens and non-native Chinese speakers;
  • be between the ages of 14 and 40;
  • be in good health and able to travel abroad;
  • not have participated in the programme within the past three years.

The Summer Camp will last for 14 days, including travel time. Activities will include Chinese language and cultural courses (60% of the time), and tourism and cultural exchange activities, such as conversation with Chinese students (40% of the time).

International travel expenses, insurance, and visa fees (if required) are self-paid. The expenses incurred during the visit in China will be covered by the organisers.

Due to the limited spots in the Summer Camp, we will give priority to applicants who meet the following criteria:

  • Being registered as student at the University of Luxembourg.
  • Have been studying Chinese at the Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg for 1 year (2 semesters including the current one).
  • Already hold an HSK certificate.

Registration deadline: 30 March 2026.

Please note: Once registration is confirmed, cancellation will not be allowed; otherwise, it will affect the entire group's trip.

All eligible applicants will be required to attend an interview with the Confucius Institute team to be selected for the Summer Camp.
