On 29 September 2019, the Confucius Institute at the University of Luxembourg held the Second Conference on Chinese Language and Culture on Belval Campus. Teachers of Chinese as a foreign language in Luxembourg gathered to discuss the current situation and the development of Chinese language education in the country.

Tow experts, Hu wenhua and Sheng Qing, were invited from Fudan University to speak about Chinese characters and teaching pronunciation. The paticipants found the presentations and subsequent discussions very helpful. The hope is that the Confucius Institute can serve as a platform for a high-quality conference every year to promote the further development of teaching Chinese as a foreign language in Luxembourg.
